rtfact
Live meeting notes

Notes, background and fact-checks — while the meeting is still going.

rtfact listens to every side of a meeting, writes the transcript as people speak, looks things up the moment they come up, and keeps a running list of decisions, action items and open questions — each one traceable to when it was said.

Download for Mac

Start recording listens through this device's microphone, in the room. On a call with headphones, the Mac app records both sides, and can start by itself when a call begins · other ways to start

What you get

One page that fills itself in as people talk

Open it on a second screen during the meeting, or come back to it afterwards. Everything on it links back to the words that prompted it.

A live transcript

Words appear as they are spoken, with speakers named as soon as the conversation reveals who they are.

Background as it comes up

Companies, terms, markets and questions asked in the room are looked up within a minute — with the sources.

Fact-checks

Checkable claims get a verdict — supported, contradicted or unclear — and the pages that settle it.

Next steps and notes

Who does what by when, decisions, facts and open questions — and the full summary by email when the meeting ends.

Three ways to begin

Every session gets its own private page. Keep its address — it is the only way back to it.

Record a meeting on your Mac

rtfact Audio sits in the menu bar and records every side — the call (Meet, Zoom, Teams…) and the people in the room — with one click. It opens the meeting's page already recording; click again to stop.

Download rtfact Audio
  1. Open the download and drag rtfact Audio into Applications.
  2. Open it. The first time, macOS says it cannot check the app: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. (It is not notarized by Apple yet.)
  3. Click the record icon in the menu bar and allow System Audio Recording and Microphone — both, or one side of the meeting is missing.

Any device

Use this device's microphone

Put a phone or laptop in the room. You press start on the page you land on — nothing is heard before that.

Hears the room only — on a call with headphones, use the Mac app to capture the other side.

After the fact

Upload a transcript

Already have a recording's transcript? Get the same notes, research and fact-checks from it.

Which files work? (up to 4 MB)
  • Google Meet — the transcript in Docs, File → Download → Plain text
  • Zoom, Teams, Otter, Fireflies — the caption or transcript file (.vtt, .srt, .txt)
  • Plaud — the transcript export (.json)
  • Anything else — plain text, one line per turn: Name: what they said

Takes 5–15 minutes; the page fills itself in.

Privacy & limits

Your meeting, your page

A private address

Each session lives at an unguessable address that is never listed anywhere. Anyone you give it to can read it, so share it on purpose. Only the browser that started a session can stop or delete it.

What goes where

rtfact never stores your audio. You can delete any session — its transcript, notes and everything else — at any time from its page. No sign-up is needed; sign in with your email only if you want your sessions on your other devices.

Limits

Up to 4 hours per session with an account, 45 minutes without one, with a warning five minutes before the end. Each page shows how long it ran and the AI tokens it used.
